Working on more than one thing at a time.

Sometimes I have to work on more than one thing at a time. My brain whirls, and I need to make new starts on new things.

I don't always finish them, but this isn't because I'm not motivated, it's because they don't always deserve to be finished!

Here's one I drew out a few weeks ago, and put aside. It's coming back to life, and I have drawn, stitched, and blocked in some colours as an aide memoir. (These are oranges, and I promise that when they're finished,  you will recognise them!)

In case you're interested in process, here's the box of oranges sketched out. It's not taken from a photo or anything; it's just elipses piled high.
This is my base sketch. It's been in the bottom of a bin bag which is why it's so crumpled. I thought I'd lost it and was quite relieved that I hadn't thrown it away by mistake.

As you can see, it's not terribly helpful when it comes to the details, but it's mostly a plan to help me get the colour placings right.

Mushrooms next I think.

Portrait in parts

For this portrait I'm starting off by using some stencils and stamps to make a background. I especially like the stencil with the jumble...
